Children are given the opportunity to learn through Musonda Community School.
Low-income communities face a multitude of structural issues, including many relating to education. There are not enough classrooms, teachers, or supplies. In Zambia, school fees prohibit many children from attending school. Other issues, such as illness or injury caused by economic vulnerability and inadequate health care, also restrict school attendance.
Over five hundred orphans and vulnerable children attend school at Musonda Community School. Students grades 1-7 are given school supplies and their fees are paid. Additionally, lunch is provided for all students three times each week.
