SMART Choices encourages students to make sexual reproductive health choices which will help them lead healthier lives. The program, designed for students in primary and secondary school, addresses how sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are acquired, the effects of STDs, how to live and care for others with STDs. Given the prevalence of HIV/AIDs in our community, there is an emphasis on HIV/AIDs in particular.

As a faith-based curriculum, students are encouraged to care for their bodies and the bodies of others. Abstinence is promoted as the best choice for humans who are single. A retelling of the story of the prodigal son emphasizes relationships reconciled.

Games are used to engage the class and keep the atmosphere lighthearted. Students are given the opportunity to make personal commitments to abstinence and faithfulness, give feedback, and ask for more information on the Gospel.
